St. Anastasia Youth Group

Welcome to our youth group’s web page!  St. Anastasia Youth or SAY Amen! Is a ministry of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in St. Augustine, FL.

Our vision at St. Anastasia is to integrate youth into the life of the parish, encouraging participation and interaction in the Mass and other parish events.  To develop the belief that each member of the parish has a responsibility to minister to the youth through their interactions with them and to create a Catholic-Christian atmosphere in which the youth can enjoy fellowship, faith growth, and a love of Jesus Christ.

We hope that you will take a moment to look around our site.  Check out our calendar of events for the various ministries offered and stop by sometime.  We would love to meet you!

Blessings,

The Youth Ministry Team

A Message From Melody

DNOW 2010:  fam-ILY

There are so many ways to participate in this amazing, ecumenical, youth event.  We will be joining with other Christian churches including:  Anastasia Baptist, First United Methodist, Turning Point at Calvary, Destiny International, Lighthouse Church of Christ...just to name a few.

Friday Night:  Solomon Calhoun Center 6:30 - 8:30 - join us for dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and pizza donated by Dominoes!

Saturday:  High school youth group will meet at 11am for lunch.  We will meet up with middle schoolers and parents to participate in a service project (tba).  After our service work (middle schoolers will go home), we will head back to the Community Center to clean up, eat dinner and reflect on our experiences.

Saturday evening from 7:30 - 10:00pm middle schoolers and parents will meet up with the high schoolers at Anastasia Baptist Church for a worship service.  The youth will be leading prayer, music, skits, and more while we enjoy a talk by a nationally renound speaker (middle schoolers will go home after this service).  High schoolers will head back to the Community Center for a lock in.

Sunday Morning - our weekend will end with 8am Mass.  Students will be picked up outside of the Administration Building immediately following Mass.

You must have a permission slip in order to attend this event unless your parents will be with you!  For more information, a more detailed intinerary or questions, please email or call Melody.

NO YOUTH GROUP ON SUNDAY, MARCH 21st!

March 28th:  Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast

Please plan on joining us after the 8am Mass for the Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast.  We will prepare and serve breakfast at no charge for anyone in the parish who wished to come.  There will be sign ups after all Masses the two weekends prior to the event.

We are asking parents to help by donating pancakes (krusteaz, just add water), syrup (including several sugar free varieties), butter, sausage, orange juice, coffee and creamer.  We also need help cooking the breakfast!

March 28th:  Easter Music Practice

Anyone in middle school or older is invited to sing or play an instrument at the 11am Easter Mass.  Please come to practice at 3:30 in the church prior to youth group.

April 4th:  Easter Sunday Egg Hunt

Please join us at 10am to hide eggs, stay for 11am Mass, and then help the little ones of the parish hunt for eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, and celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord together!  Plan on staying until 1pm to help with clean up.
