Melody’s Bio
Favorite Bible Verse (so many awesome ones to choose from , but this is one that
I really love..)
John 15:9
"As the Father has
loved me, so have I
loved you. Now remain in my
love.
My name is Melody Ott and I am
the youth director at St. Anastasia.
I became the youth director about five years ago.
At that time I was a Clinical Social Worker in private practice providing mental
health services to children, adolescents, and families. When I was approached about taking the youth ministry
position at St. Anastasia, I was convinced that I wasn’t equipped to take the
job! Upon much prayer and discussion with
my family, I accepted the position and the rest, as they say, is history!
In addition to my Master of Social Work degree that I received from Florida
State University (go Noles!), I have also completed my Certificate in Youth
Ministry studies from the Center for Ministry Development.
I believe that God has called me into this field and blessed me with the
opportunity to share his love and the life of his son, Jesus Christ, with the
young people in our community.
This is the best job in the WORLD – I love it!
Hey there
everyone, my name is Josh Stewart, but the youth call me J-Stew. I have been a
youth ministry assistant at St. Anastasia since 2008, but I’ve been a volunteer
with the youth group since 2004 and a member of the youth group from 2001-2005.
I am currently attending Flagler College and will be graduating with a degree in
Religion/Philosophy and Youth Ministry. I have lived in St. Augustine my whole
life and have attended St. Anastasia Catholic Church since I was a kid. I have
many fond memories here at the church, but the best are those of when I was in
this youth group. I had a blast making new friends and learning more about my
faith to become a better Catholic. I
started and have run Say Amen 4:5, a youth group for 4th and 5th
grade youth, since September 2008.
Working with the youth is a job that I believe God put me here to do, along with
working at the church I also coach high school volleyball, basketball, and
softball at two local schools in town. Becoming part of a youth group was one of
the best decisions I ever made, and I cannot imagine my life today if I didn’t
become a part of SAY Amen, our church’s youth group. So if you liked what you
read then come and meet me at SAY Amen’s youth group, I promise you it will be a
decision that changes your life for the better, God Bless!

Favorite Bible Verse: 1Timothy 4:12
“Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who
believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.”
Hey, My Name is Cynthia
Dueling and I am Youth Ministry Assistant at St. Anastasia. Currently, I attend Flagler College
and will be graduating in April of 2010 with degrees in Sociology and Youth
Ministry. I started working with the Youth Group two years ago. Watching their
Faith grow is the most rewarding part of this job. I feel that we are all a big
family because we spend so much time together. I love working with kids so much
I started a Children’s Liturgy of the Word Program for K-3rd grade
kids in October of 2008. I take pride in our program here and look forward to
what God has planned for me in the future. This
is an awesome place to have fun and worship Christ!
Bible Verse: By choosing this bible verse I
want people to remember that God will always be there to love us regardless.
1 John 4:16
“We have come to know and to
believe in the love God has for us. God is Love, and whoever remains in love
remains in God and God in Him.”
