S.A.Y. - Amen! (St. Anastasia Youth
– Amen!)
SAY Amen! is a youth group for middle school and high school students. Our youth groups meet for an hour and
a half most Sundays in the Community Center at St. Anastasia. We play games, shoot hoops, play ping
pong, eat, and hang out with each other.
Most importantly, we learn about how to apply the teachings of Jesus
Christ to our daily lives through exploration of the scriptures.
Our high school and middle school groups meet separately most of the time and
once a month we come together to share a meal and fellowship. In addition to our weekly meetings we
also have a ton of other cool stuff going on:
·
We have several retreats each year
·
We
participate in monthly community service events (St. Francis House and various
others throughout the year)
·
We attend
Adoration at four am once a month (first Friday of the month)
·
We host events for the members of our parish
(Trunk N Treat, Thanksgiving dinner, Easter Egg Hunt, and more)
·
We take several trips each year including our
annual winter ski trip
·
We go on a mission trip every summer
·
We serve, sing and read at youth Mass monthly
·
We attend the annual Steubenville conference
·
We participate in events with other Christian
youth groups throughout the year (summer volleyball league, DNOW retreat,
Carefest and more).
·
This list could go on and on, but you should
check out our calendar and come by for a visit!
Students of all denominations are welcomed and we encourage you to bring
friends!
Children's Liturgy
Welcome!
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a program for children in grades K-3. This takes place every
Sunday during the 10:30 Mass. This program has been a very successful way
for children to understand the readings and Gospel teachings. The children also
take part in singing, Profession of Faith, and Prayers of the Faithful. This is
a fun way to learn and praise God.
Here’s how
it works:
Your family will find your seat in church. After Mass begins Father
will call the children up to the altar and bless them before going to the altar
server room with the facilitators. They will return during the Offertory.
Children’s
Liturgy does not take place on special occasions, holidays, and during the
summer months of June and July.
If you have any
questions or are interested in volunteering please contact the Youth Ministry
Office at 471-5364 EXT 115.

Say Amen 4:5
One Lord, one faith, one baptism
Dear 4th and 5th grade students,
Do you like hanging out with friends? What about playing fun and amazing games?
Do you like bowling, the movies, or going on other fun trips? If you answered
yes to any of these, it is time for you to get involved in Say Amen 4:5.
Say Amen 4:5 is a youth group for 4th and 5th graders that
focuses on growing your relationship with God through scripture, games, and
experiences in the community. We hold youth group once a month on a Friday night
from 6-8pm in the community center. In addition to our monthly meeting, we hold
special events that usually fall on Sunday.
This youth group is open to any 4th or 5th grade student.
You do not have to attend St. Anastasia or be a Catholic to come to youth group,
so bring a friend or two if you’d like. If you are looking to grow in your
faith, meet new people, go on fun trips, and become an active member of your
church, then Say Amen 4:5 is where you want to be.
